It all started in 1999 with “the negotiations between Him and Her” (note, these are 99% in Dutch… )

By now, twelve and a half years have passed, of which we have lived together for twelve years, and we have lived through a myriad of highs and lows both in The Netherlands and abroad.

Not long ago – after an tumultuous first half of 2011 – we took a short break in Sperlonga, Italy. A question was asked (on the left: “Doen?” is something like “Let’s?”) and a reply was given (again, look left: “Uh, ja!” we think you can guess, but it means “Uh, yes!”).
So, on 10 September 2011, we will be getting married.

We have always been a little unorthodox, and like-wise our wedding will be just a touch different than what is usually the case, but a few of the mandatory ingredients will of course be part and parcel of the whole event.

We will spend the entire day on a sailingboat that will sail with us (and our guests) to some of the spots that we frequented regularly ourselves with our own little boat. Along the route we will ask a registrar to join us aboard and at a fitting moment we will mutter “yes, I do”.

After that, we will enjoy a few other hobby’s that we share: a bit of sailing, good food, wine and bubblies and in general, just having a good party.
